Netrikann and Mouna ragam

Through some friend or when i searched internet, i found one link* which says there is a similarity between BGM of Netrikann (1981) scene ( where son rajini challenges father rajini) and Mouna ragam (1986) theme BGM and I do find similarity between those two. Also some says that there is some english song from which Ilayaraja had inspired these BGMs.

In netrikann i guess, people have only seen the superstar and story, not the BGMs. Isaigynai is great from those days !!! Though netrikann is a hit, this theme music became so popular only after Mouna ragam. Dont know what made maestro to use the BGM of that scene (which he had composed 5 years prior to mounaragam) as the theme music of Mounaragam. Anyways, thanks to him, it didnt get lost some where and we have got a wonderful music.

This song, beautifully sung by hariharan and tippu for which vairamuthu had coined the lines is simply great. What a great piece from vairamuthu!!! and a great music from Harris Jayaraj too. Who is the cameraman for this song? A special hats off to him.

Whenever i hear this song, my heart turns very light. Antha manikkum pakkuvamnu onnu solluvangale, i am able to go near to that. This frees all of my tension.

This song, Absolutely getting me closer to the Mother Nature.

Credit card offer sir

This is one of the incident happend today morning in our office. Everybody's extension got ranged serially. Guess it is a credit card person. It is from ICICI credit card division. We all got annoyed by those continous calls to almost all the numbers in the floor. But that is part of their job, so pavam. Guessing what kind of reactions those persons would have got from the people to whom they have called.

Our client has come for canada. His root is from europe. His name is Barrieu (Spell it as Bay-U - Rendu 'R' irundhum silent :D, puthusa irukku). As we all expected, his phone also rang and it is from the same ICICI. Below is the discussion ( As i am sitting next to the client, i am clearly able to ottu kettufy the conversation. Naana ottu ketkala, thana kathula varuthu...enna panrathu...? guys, dont scold me for this).

Telephone rings, he picks it up.

Bay-U: Hello
cus care lady: We are offering life time free credit card sir...
Bay-U: So?
cus care lady: Sir, We are offering life time free credit card, it is on an offer we are giving to the employees of XYZ company...
Bay-U: I am not employee of this company.
cus care lady: Sir, I am calling from ICICI bank and once more he repeats his statement
Bay-U: Is the card free to me?
cus care lady: No sir, this is life time free credit card from ICICI
Bay-U: I see...
cus care lady: No sir, this is from ICICI. Hope you have heard about ICICI (pavam, icici-ku intha nilamai)
Bay-U: No i havent heard about ICCI
cus care lady: Sir, that is ICICI, havent you heard about it?
Bay-U: No, is it some bank like thing? (haha....sema bulb for that lady)
cus care lady: Sorry sir, thank you.
Bay-U: Fine, Thanks. Have a nice day.
cus care lady: .... may be i can put ??? or !!!! (as our guy completed the conversation with her dialogue :), she didnt speak at all)

Though it sounds little funny, unmailiye these kind of jobs are tough and guys are really pavam :(

Scene: Today evening, i was roaming alone in Jayanagar 4th Block. Oru vayasanavar who seems to be in "kanna katti kattula vitta position" approached me,

Periyavar:Emmandi ikkada Raa or something similar.
Me: (Ennathu ithu, ivaru telugu pesarare...seri povom)
Periyavar: Jayanagar 4th T Block ellithey?
Me: (I am confused, is this not kannada?)
Periyavar: Ivu address gotha?
Me:(Seri kannadam rendu thadavai pesittar, we will also continue our kannadam) Sir, Seedha hogi, small circle baraththe, akkada volgade cut maadi...mmm...4th T block barathe...
What i meant is sir, go straight, small circle will come, turn right there, you will get 4th T block.
Periyavar: ???? (he is still confused)

I tried to explain him again as i thought he didnt understand my kannada. But still i couldnt explain him. He is confused and words didnt come out from his mouth.
Then one more old person crossed us, this periyavar had thought of asking him. I called that person and he started talking to the old person. As i was also busy, i started moving, rendu step vaichu iruppean...athukkulla..

Our periyavar to the old person, "Sir, 4th Block enga irukku, athukku eppadi poganum"

Ada aandava, itha muthallaye kettu irundha, naane solli iruppeaneyya. Enakke swalpa swalpa kannadam theriyum. Naan pesaravanga ellam enkitta tamila pesamatengranga. Enna koduma sir ithu?

Then after telling the address in Tamil and i moved on.

Moral i learned is whatever it is when you are in foreign land and when you are try to ask some address or some thing...ask them, do you they know your language. Its nothing wrong. Then try to speak in their langauge otherwise even if you encounter your language person, you cant get the address right.

Trichy: 1920-1930

Can you identify this place? (I am asking this question only to Trichians)

It is our St.Joseph College, Trichy (Lawley hall - right side one) between 1920 - 1930 (Thanks to orkut Trichy community).

The roads are very shorter now, thanks to commerciazliation. After seeing trichy pictures, i have got a strong feeling that our country also had very wide roads, neat buildings and more things like a foreign country. It is our people who are very ignorant and selfish, made the current pathetic condition - shorter roads, encroachments etc kind of things (atleast to trichy, i can say this).

Thanks to college admin, who saved the trees (see those two pics). If those trees have been part of the trichy corporation, we would be missing those handful of trees in the current pic of the college

Without knowing that padhi is a wicket person, ammaanji seeks his help. In that first meeting itself our guy knows that he is a bad fellow. He challenges padhi that he will start a company with access to any website.

Now he is in search of a good homely HR girl executive who does only her job without any show offs. Now both of them goes to jyothi nivas college, koramangala.

Ammanji: En pa, inga kottindu vandhirukka, ethavathu "interview" edukka poroma?

Mama: Ammanji, Ipp ella HR-um call centre-ku poitangappa, nee kekara mathiri venumna college-la thaan poi pidikkanum.

Nobody matches our guy's expectation there, they are just coming out of that college and with a BGM, our hero sees a girl coming to eat at near by sagar hotel.

Ammanji: Anga...

Mama: Enga????

Both look at the girl, wow....she is eating in a sagar hotel insipite of having good hotels in koramangala. she must be a kanjus. so she wont demand much salary.

mama: "ammanji super selection-pa, i will let u know the details about her"

Mams finds her college and finds here name. Her name is Sagar selvi. Both finds sagar selvi's tution centre, goes there and Ammaaji tries to impress her with mama's help. Selvi says no first.

Sagar selvi: Pazhakkam illama eppadinga join panrathu ?

Ammanji: Yes you are right. Pazhaganum, avvalavu thaane, Cool.... vaanga pazhagalam vaanga pazhagalam...

He gives adayar anandha bavan idly, sambar etc. Alas, nothing is working in his way. After numerous tries, she agrees.

After the song, he starts his 'actual' work of starting a software company. He gives his plan but all the system architects are planning to install firewall, proxyserver etc. Everybody asks the same question "Ammanji, unga project-la ethanai website-ku access kodukkareenga"....

One particular sys architect asks too much of techinical questions that too in a canteen. Ammanji got fedup, and picks the guys collar.

Mama consoles him and he gives all the information about the servers much difficulty. After crossing so many architects, he is able to install "Microsoft windows 95" in one of the machine.

Ammanji wants to recruit more people. So he comes to his HR sagar selvi. But she dont want to join !!!

Ammanji: Anaikku saravan bavan-la antha kattu kattitu, ippo ennanga achchu?

Selvi: Othu varathunga!!!

Ammanga: !!!!!

Selvi: Antha sambar sariillainga

Mama: Yaara pathu sambar sari illaingra, too much ithu....

Ammanji: Sollunga...

Selvi: She keeps her hand and ammanjis hand close to the nose and asks ammanji to feel the smell of sambar. Enakku unga sambar pidikkalai.

Our ammanji tries to do the sambar (sagar) which she likes and find the success. After all he is our hero right. He meets her with his new sambar. She got amazed by his new sambar.

Now our padhi hears about proceedings of ammanji. Our paadhi have influence among the network admins. He got angry and injects virus in to his system. Ammanji looses all his computers and left with just one compact disk.

As everybody knows, hardware pathai comes. Ammanji hair styles changes within a second. Wow THE BOSS has born.

Trichy: 1850-1860

I am posting the pictures of rockfort and srirangam (the two main identities of trichy separated by the great river cauvery) taken between 1850-1860.

Rockfort is taken from the back side in this picture and dont know from where they have taken this photo of srirangam. The Srirangam rajagopuram (below pic) is not build at that time (built in 1989), so it is not visible in the picture above.

When i go to trichy next time,i will try to take pictures of Malaikottai (Rockfort) and Srirangam temple from the angle which is closer to the ones in these pictures.

Most of the photographers today would have not tried this angle (backside) of the rockfort. Reason? The empty places seen in this picture is lost to the houses, shops etc. Blame it on the Indian minds. Stupid people. Cant they preserve the ancient temples and monuments :(

And in srirangam, no need to say, it is full of houses. Have you ever heard of building houses and shops inside the temple? You are welcome to srirangam, the biggest temple in Asia. Yes ofcourse, it is the bigger than Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple but the 7th Wall outside will contain lot of houses/shops. Still people believe that only at the 4th wall outside, the temple starts. Hmm, feeling a lot after seeing these pictures :( :( Oh! my future india, please try to save the monuments, dont commercialize it, please ...please

P.S: Why cant the lay the cables in under ground for power, telephone atleast near the monuments, it certainly spoils the beauty of it.

AmmaanJI - 2

Ok by now you could have known who is Ammaanji. Now why he joined the company a.k.a jail?

Flash back:
Our Ammanji is a fresher who is just passed out of some US college. His whole family with his uncle is waiting in Bangalore HAL Airport to receive Ammanji who is visiting india. This mama guy is a consultant in bangalore. Our ammanji's intention is to build a software company which has no restriction to the websites. Though studied at the US college, he completes his plus two in Tiruchi, so he is interested in Tamil kalacharam. So he neglects the HR girls who are very modern to be employed in his concern.

Now they are travelling to their home, Ammaanji Illam, Jayanagar. He sees the domlur flyover completed, He exclaims
Ammanji: "Is this Bangalore????....COOL" soon he saws the traffic in bangalore, "Bengalooru innum marave illai"

At their home, this stupid bangalore mama plays some hindi songs which our guy doesnt like. So tamil song now,

After the song, our ammaanji meets Paadhi, the half baked consultant whom our hero doesnt know that paadhi is a wicked person. As our hero's intention is to start a company which doesnt have restriction to the websites, there will be no attrition from any of the company. So this is indirectly aapuvaichufying for the Paadhi as he is a consultant who charges high money from the appavi software engineers and testers. So paadhi decided to put breaks on ammaanji by giving problems.

Its my take on friendship, goodness

Can one be good to everyone, No not at all !!! If we do good to one person, it might hurt the other. So what is the definition of being good. Dont say that, dont restrict yourself to the handful of people, do good to society as whole. Again doing good to one society may hurt another society. So you become evil to the other society. So finally what is meant by doing good?

So simply we cant do good to our friends, loved ones as it might hurt the others (who know how much bad impact is going to be on those who got affected by you and your friends). So cant we do good to our friends, loved ones? Then why do we call them as our friends/loved ones if we cant help them at their crisis.

Ennadhan friend-a irundhalum, if truth/nyayam is not their side, we should help them to understand what is wrong from their side instead of helping them in the issue. Ithukku per thaan true friendship. Instead of helping them in the crisis and pushing them in the bad side, it is better to help them to know what they have done wrong. This is my stand.

Itha thaan periyavanga, nyayama nalladhu seiyanum sonnanga. Same has been told in bagavad gita (mahabharatham) by Krishna to Arjuna, Be in the side of truth. Though arjuna's friends, forefathers, teachers cousins are in the opposite side, they are opposite to the truth/sathyam/dharmam. They are too admant for the peaceful solution and about to kill the truth. If arjuna would have allowed this, then bad impact will be there and war would have been endless and there would have been no peace and total world would have lost. So the war in that case is neccessary and krishna adviced him to do that.

So be always in the side of the truth for the peaceful world. Keep your loved ones in your side too. Select good persons as your friends. Help-ku help-nu illama, nyathukku help-nu irukkanum. Afterall friendship is not dependent on the help you do.

Traffic Offences and Penalties in India

Traffic rules and ethics...Are we following this in india? I have got one idea to solve the problem which may help the people and the society.

Reason: Last to last week, while changing the lane in my bike i have been hit by a guy driving yamaha from left though i saw there is no one near to me in my left and i have put left indicator, it seems he drove very fast and tried to over take from my left and also in last week, my friend driving two wheeler had been hit by a motorist from the back side.

Both the problem are due to ignorance of the people. Not only in these two incidents, as a whole i guess it is because of the ignorace most of the people are not following the rules. So to educate them, the law should be made and enforced that at the time of one buying a vehicle, he should be checked that whether he knows the traffic rules. May be a degree certificate or diploma in traffic rules kind of thing (similar to the type writing certificate) would help solve this problem .

RTO should check while registering the vehicle, the person had studied the course and obtained the certificate or not. Some may not follow due to arrogance but once people are educated about this, 80% of the road safety issue will be solved. All blame on the Traffic police, RTO department and its management for not educating the people.

I am posting the traffic offences and penalties in India. I hope that whoever visits my page knows about this and follows the traffic rules hereafter. It would help in saving a life !!!
