Pachai...illai Vellai Tamilan

It was very cool with lovely breeze in the evening. Sun is about to set. So many colors in the sky. Moon also came. It is good to watch the half moon with stars twinkling around it. Yes it was a true vasantha kaalam which i have never ever experienced in my life in India.

Thought of enjoying this weather with a walk in the near by park, so quicky got in to a Veshti-T.Shirt and moved on with my mp3 player. The T-Shirt is in light green color Yes... with the veshti - T.shirt - Mp3 player combo, i entered near by park and started having rounds on that.

No body was there...Oooo haaa... Now Start mujik... June ponal July Kattre, Kanparthal Kadhal kattre...Ennachchu thonaliye... Enjoyed the sky and the flowers, greenary in the park....Araikkulle Mazhai Varuma...Veliye Vaa...Kuthukalamai. Enna sariya ezhuthi irukanga ? Also my player seems to be sync with my mood and environment.

Now slowly evening crowd started entering the park. I agained went back to the sky, sun, moon and stars. Next song...played: Oru koodai sunlight, Oru koodai moon light, Ondraga serntha Color thaane en white..ttt .... Eppothum pachai Tamilan (Naan kooda wearing pacha T-Shirt), Ippo naan vellai Tamilan...YES (yes yes ofcourse, i was wearing a white dhoti.. ). Dear player, Nee super da. I continued with my walk and big smile and enthu.

Hey...!!! Not only me, everybody seems to be happy and enjoying the weather. All are smiling. All around are smiling faces !!! Woww...Great evening it was.

Wait a minute !!!, Y that gal suddenly stared at me and then smiled. Y that "thatha" also smiled at me after staring me. Yes everybody is staring and then smiling.

P.S: The festivals which is happening now in the temples are called as vasantha kaala vizhakkal. This period in those days must be vasantha kalam. Hmm...due to people's bad attitude towards the mother nature, we lost that (those who dont know what is vasantha kaalam..it is called as spring season in english). Now even if it rains, it is referred to as kodai mazhai :( We have to grow many trees to bring those spring dates back now.

Tiruvarur Trip

For the last Aazhi therottam on 28th April 2007, i went to Thiruvar with my friends. How it falls on that particular day has some calculations inside, i dont know that. But will update it soon.
First day i travelled to my sweet Trichy and then joined my friend in his home. We roamed Tiruvarur, What a beautiful temple it is !!! A Grand Theppakulam was before the temple. Unfortunately i was not able to shoot the Kovil and Theppakulam :( The moolavar (Vaanmeekanathar) was present inside the temple while Thiyagarajar was out for the Ther ride !!! :)

We went to gangai konda cholapuaram which was around 2 hours drive from thiruvarur in the Thiruvarur-Kumbakonam-Jayangondam route. Alternatively you can reach to Gangai konda
Cholapuram from Trichy. It is 2.5 - 3 hrs drive from Trichy. Managed to reach the temple only just before the sunset and clicked only a few pictures. This was the exact replica of Tanjore Brahadeeshwara temple which everybody knows. The main difference is that Tanjore temple is made of White Stones, While this one is made of Black Stones (told to me by my friend's father). Also in those days itself, they have brought cooling effect naturally inside the temple by using marble kind of stone near the Moolavar sannidhi. Also the Navgrahams are looking the sky and not the people which is to be noted. Rest all is same as Tanjore temple.

Next day was Ther. Lot of localities gathered to pull the Sri Thiayagaraja Swamy in the ther. Sad that many outsiders dont know about this festival. Right from chola period, this festival is famous but dont know why it got shrinked only to Thiruvarur. ThiruVarur means Thiru Aaru Oor meaning Six Towns with respect. Out of the six town (Dont know what they are) This place is a special one as Thiyagaraja is here. There is a saying in tamil, Kasiyil iranthal mukthi, Thiruvannamalaiyai ninaithal mukthi, Thiruvaruril Piranthal Muthi. It is having such a importance in Tamil literature.

After a long long time i am participating and pulling the ther. In my childhood, i remember that i once pulled samayapuram Ther. After that now only. I was thrilled. It is a giant giant chariot. With thousands of people pulling, it is not even moving a single step. People are using only buldozer to move the ther. Once it got intial inertia, with the people's pull, it has started moving.

Ther has 4 kuthirai and One Yaazhi (see the pics). One it has started moving, people are jumping with joy and clapping !!! Wow..thats great. I enjoyed that moment. With the sounds Thivarura !!! Thiyagesa !!! Aaarura !!!, it is great to hear those. Friends told that it will be difficult to turn the ther to next direction, so was curious to see. But it got stuck and they said it will take hourse to bring it back to position. So we lost patience and returned back :( It was really a great experience to participate in the festival. The tourism board of Tamilnadu is so poor that it is not celebrated as it was and local crowd has polluted the temple so much with plastic papers. Dont know how government allowed this !!!

On those two days, we had food in our each of our friends place which was great. We returned by Sumo to bangalore and i was so happy to see the Rain in Trichy while crossing my favourite city.

SpiderMan 3 - Review

Summary: Overall, a average time passer. They could have reduced the sentiment parts and included more action for. eg. the new villain Venom is not getting enough scenes to perform :(

You can see Indian Masala cinema in Spider Man 3. I guess, Script writer got confused in the middle of the script and saw many indian cinemas and changed the screenplay to suit sipdey :)
Too much of love, grandma senti, senti for villains, friendship, betrayal and at times they have included comedy scenes which was good. Asusual special effects are good.

Story - Please watch spidey in the screen :)

I got to remember many Tamil Cinema scenes while watching them,

Scene 1 : Spidey puts one leg on the wall and other leg on villain's face and after kicking sometimes they are showing spidey's (who was in black) eyes. This scene perfectly matches our great GAP10.

Scene 2: Sandman terrifies the people who had gathered to thank spidey. Spidey follows the sandman but the he escapes. Spidey here tells vadivelu dialogue (Engerthu kelambi varanganne theriyalaye... from where these guys are coming from? )

Scene 3: Spidey thinks for himself, whether did he done anything wrong? Naan Nallavana Kettavana (Kamal from nayagan)

Scene 4: Each stunt scene is remembering Rajinikanth stunts. First spidey adiyai vangippar, pinnadi thiruppi koduppar and people will be happy after seeing this. But spidey didnt get punch dialogues like rajini. So sad :P

Scene 5: Climax-la thalapathy-la vara rajini, mammooty mathiri rendu perum (spidey and his friend harry) villain kooda sanda podaranga, appo appo kaiyala thattikaranga

Scene 6: Love scene b/w peter parker and MJ. It reminds me of 'thoppi' karthick prposing his love to his heroine in the screen. Peter here says, "Hey..hey..vanthu..poi...MJ...athu vanthu... ".
Thanks that S.A.Rajkumar didnt score music for this movie, else there would have so many la.la.las and that same old "rosappoo rosappoo song"

Scene 7:

In the scene of spidey removing black suit and getting back to red suit, the music director could have used

"Appatha Vaicha Karuppe"
"Ippothaan Sekka Chivappe"

Scene 8: When venom tries to kill spidey with knife, his friend harry will come in between and obviously knife will be inside his body, he will fell down from say 80th floor of the building, to some say 60th floor of the same building and still he wont die. This will take place at night. Then spidey thinks about the technique to kill venom, follow some process to kill venom and finally he manages to kill venom. Then spidey will come to his friend. Now sun will also rise. Still harry wont die. Then MJ comes there, after placing her hands in spidey's hand and sethuvaichufying, harry will die :O. Dei hindi cinema-vuku ithu ok, y in spidey-da? vidinchithu po.. is the comment i can think in my mind when i found still harry is alive (sun also rises at the same time :P)

MJ is pavam in spiderman 3. Spidey avala kadupadikkar with many tactics especially with sanjay ramasamy haristyle (My friend told it looks like mayakkandi cheran). So sad MJ :(

Ithula spidey friend-ku short term memory loss vera. If Ilaythilagam prabhu had seen that, definitely he would have said Enna koduma saravanan ithu...

Nallavelai, Padam mudinchathum Aadungada Enna suthithi-nu vijay mathiri spidey padama irunthare...thanks for that.

Conclusion: Definitely spidey is one time watchable in theatre with friends. Better than spiderman 2.

Chennai 600028 - Review

It is a story of a gully cricket team called SHARKS, Sunnabu Kalwai...che che Visalakshi Thottam, Chennai 600028. (Story ellam perusa onnum illai...)

Its a great time pass movie whose major strength is screen play. Music (Yuvan Shankar Raja) is just ok and BGM (Who had scored BGM? YSR or Premji Amaran?) is good at times especially when Cheenu (Premji Amaran s/o Gangai Amaran) says Enna Koduma Sir ithu?

This movie entirely portrays the lives of current youth at all levels and there are numerous comedy scenes. Best example is above said Enna Koduma Sir Ithu? (Right from chandramukhi days, people are still telling this dialogue for comedy, only change is saravanan is replaced with sir :P )

Also when Raghu visits Sunnabu Kalwai for the first time, he visits his enemy's place and feels like great hero (with BGM of premji...adutha MGR ivanthanda etc :P) and getting ready to fight. Chinna pasanga kandippa will have the same thought when they are visting their "enemy's" place :). (Watch out for raghu when he enters his house. Veliya Bubble cum-a mennu kitte thenavatta bayappadama vanthu ulla ponavudane...neengale paarunga. Hahaaa...Chance illa.)

There are so many more funny incidents to watch for, if i say them here then it would be a spoiler. But i am quoting the scenes to watch out for
1. The scene following when Rayapuram ROCKERS Raghu (Jai s/of Music Director Deva or his brothers sabesh/murali, i dont know exactly) throws the ball which hits his grandma's portrait.

2. Watch out for seenu in the climax when he takes the catch for the first time.

3. When they play agains kids, the BGM of Aboorva Sagotharargal (When appu's love is failed) for the scene when Ambulance driver cries for his bat makes us laugh.

The acting of Cheenu, Raghu and to some extent Palani (Nithin Sathya), Ambulance Driver Jairaj, Aravind (Arvind Krishna) are good.

The two heroines are waste (one of them is part of the story, so ok. next is just injected for glamour. Thevaye illa. Just fast fwd those scenes). The romance of Aravind is speed breaker to the film. Another mokkai scene (pattu) is when the hero karthick (Radio mirchee employee) sings the Manvasanai song (mottu vaicha mallaiga mottu). Director sir, ithellam thevaya?

Hats off to Venkat Prabhu for giving such a great time passer (Director - Son of Gangai Amaran). After watching veerasamy, sabari, thirumagan, vyabari etc Tamil cinema fans
will say thank you to you :)

Time Management - Time Wasters

Reason: I myself wasted a lot of time, wanted to do many things and done nothing. Ended only wasting my time. So asked friends, searched internet and got some material about time management. Wanted to share and record, so posting the things what i understood from them.

Time Management

Time and Tide Wait for No one.

Time is Precious, It is the happiness. Time is Money, Money is Time.

Saving Time is Saving Money.

Ok enough. We heard all these sayings, we know how important our time is. We want to use our time to its maximum to get our needy and important things done. Are we doing that? Most of us does not do that. So Where is our time going and how?

Time Wasters

In most cases we waste the time without knowing ourselves.

So what are our time wasters?
If we find answers, then half the problem in managing time is solved. Below are some generic points which mentions some of the common time wasters which everybody has. Think of your own about your specific time wasters. Rule says it all, To find solution to the problem, the problem should be identified.

1. Self Generated:

• Comes as a result of our thoughts, feelings and disorganized actions
• Unable to say no to tempting distractions
• Having the habit of procrastination (athamppa oththi poduthal...ie postponing the things)
• Simply Succumbing (Giving up) up because not having interest or mood to do the things when it is most needed.
• Lethargic to do the things.

2. Environmental:

• Environment causes distraction though you are interested to do the things
• Small diversions by environment can cause to you halt your work e.g phone call, somebody visiting you or unproductive meetings. These things can lead you to think something else and hence your most needed work is now in toss !!!

These self time wasters are more dangerous than the environmental one.

So how to tackle it? In Next Post :)

How can you irritate a two wheeler guy when he drives in pedestrian lane? (ada avangala thiruthirathukku thaanga)

1. Use your mobile: Even before any two wheeler comes in to your walking lane, call your friend and keep on putting pongal if it is a guy or put kadalai if it is a gal. When a two wheeler comes to pedestrian lane, he will see you in mobile and definitely he changes his lane and go !!! (Dont worry mutti motha mattan/mattaal)

2. MP3 Player: Another best device to kadupethify these kind of people. Athiradee karan machan machan de pattu kettu kitte, romba veera nadai pottu, ivanungala verupethi irukkean . Same as mobile technique. This is a energy saving technique.

3. Oscillate: Road cross pannalama venamanu neenga kozhampuratha oru show off pannunga. Definitely those who wants to drive in pedestrian lane will get a confusion and they will definitely take their proper lane.

Ippothaikku moonu idea thaan !!! Shankar paduthala vara mathiri mulla mulla-la thaan edukkanumnu ninaichean, ithellam seinjean. Konjam pera intha vanmurai mattrum adavadi panni thiruthi irukkean. Ithellam thappa?

But the sad part is, when i drove the vehicle today in proper lane, two guys applied the last two techniques to me and i had to take pedestrian lane :( :(

Kadaisiyil ennayum arasiyal vaathi aakitengaleda !!!

(I heard another peadestrian turning to a hero and trying to change me... Oh no. Naan intha vilayatukku varalai)

So Moral of the story is namba velai ennavo atha mattum parthukittu poikine irukkanum. Ok.

Bangalore one

Life in bangalore is made easy by government.

I know it is a old service but since i wanted to appreciate, i am dedicating this post to those brains who had started this service with little info about the service. It is Bangalore One Service.

It has offices setup in various locations of the city where you can pay your telephone, mobile, electricity, water bills etc and even more. I heard it is operating 24X7 but dont know how far it is true, but i have seen it operating late office hours.

You might ask, nowadays banks are offering such facility through their website, so why you need such kind of services. See, Not everybody has internet banking accounts, internet and cannot enjoy this comfortability. So this is welcome decision to have one.

Also they are issuing tokens, so one no need to wait there and single 'Q' sytem is follwed.

Another hoax email

I received a email stating that, do not pick up calls from certain number else it will cause a human to die.

It also said that incoming number will be in red color and high frquency and high wavelength and some more bla bla...

Well you know that if one wave has high frequency, how can it has high wavelenth. Frequency is inverse of wave length as per science. Correct? Playing people's mind with some high tech words. huh !!!

Better you call this award as Kalai'manga' award.

I suggest this maanga award to be given also to KaanalNeer Riteesh (Those who dont know about this guy, please watch sun tv trailor of kanal neer at 11.00pm IST. No other channels telecast the trailor of this film,i believe)

In past too, i heard this award is given to "great" actors.

Yesterday i had called up airtel customer care to tell that their IVR of Hello Tunes song catcher is not working. Today they had called me up to say that IVR is working (i have to test it though) and asked "which song do you want?" (Airtel customer is great, Vaazhga !!!)

Customer care: Can you repeat please?

Guess what? I am talking about driving in hosur & BTM road. Hey, Wait, Dont think i had gone mad.

This is my first experience on driving in hosur main road in the evening time. Yesterday at 4.40 pm, i started in my office, It was cloudy and about to shower. Also both the lanes were empty and reached my home at 5.05pm without any hassles.

Only a little traffic jam at BTM signal, but thats ok, thats usual to have traffic jam at 16th Main (Udupi garden) Signal.

About that drive - Paravasam, I must say !!!

Pasakkara Pasanga

In a holiday, you are having a tire some day after cleaning the entire house and arranging the things. You are taking a late heavy lunch and veyil is too much outside. Immediately after entering the home, you are feeling very much sleepy. You are about to sleep.

At this time, your friend calls .

Friend: Dei sun tv switch pannu da, unnoda favourite song, paruda ...
Me: Dei enna song?
He tells the song
Me: Dei naan favourite song-nu eppo sonnean, dei naan thoonga porean
Friend: Neethane blog la post panni iruntha, ozhunga paru
Me: Song pidichirunthathu da, but visuals sumar thaan da
Friend: Channel maathitiya?
Me: Vida matta polirukke, Dei visuals nalla irukathu da, also am feeling sleepy
Friend: mm..hum..Ne parkkanum...

Finally i surrenderd and saw the song completely in the mappu (mappu here means, thookka mayakam) .

My friend was satisfied that i had seen my "favourite" song :)
